Alongside his oil paintings, Giovanni Giacometti (1868-1933) was also a lifelong watercolourist. The exhibition showcases some sixty rarely seen works, some on display for the first time, to shed light on a little-known aspect of the career of a painter who is represented in the MCBA collections by several canvases and drawings.

Everyone realised it when the coronavirus slowed down our daily life, or stopped it in its tracks : the concept of time is not just about calendars and timetables. Far from being strict and regular, time as it is lived is subjective and variable. The exhibition addresses the tension between natural, biological time and the strictly measured time of a society where time is money.
