It is estimated that 869 species have become extinct over the past 500 years. Nearly 20,000 species are now considered threatened with extinction. Based on the collection of extinct animals of the Musée cantonal de zoologie, this exhibition describes the mechanisms behind the disappearance of species or the 6th extinction, but also the conservation efforts undertaken at the local, national or global level.
